The blockchain-based donation platform 'Cherry' announced that the Korean Committee of UNICEF and the POSCO Art Museum have set up a donation kiosks.
The donation kiosk of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, installed on the third floor of Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium in Dongnae-gu, Busan, is located in a space provided by the Lotte Giants. This kiosk raises funds for children worldwide. Since signing a social contribution agreement with UNICEF in 2011, the Lotte Giants have designated some of their home games as 'UNICEF Day,' during which players wear special UNICEF uniforms. On 'UNICEF Day,' UNICEF booths are set up inside and outside the stadium to raise awareness about the situation of children around the world and to collect donations. This year, a Cherry donation kiosk has also been installed and is in operation.

A Cherry donation kiosk has also been installed at the POSCO Museum of Art in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. During the exhibition <Lee Jeong-rok: Night, Time of Purification and Sublimation> the kiosk allows visitors to make voluntary donations, with donors receiving postcards and catalogs from the museum. The collected donations are forwarded to the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation.
The Cherry donation kiosk facilitates easy donations using just a mobile phone or card. By entering their phone number, donors automatically receive donation receipts processed by the National Tax Service, enhancing convenience for both donors and organizations. Additionally, donations are recorded and tracked through blockchain technology, and users can view their donation history through the Cherry app.
Cherry also operates Cherry Photo, a feature that automatically makes a donation when a photo is taken, further increasing the accessibility of donations and continuously promoting a culture of giving.
