Donation Platform Cherry, signs a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute.

Lee Soo-jung, CEO of Cherry, and Ryu Kwang-soo, Director of the Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute, are taking a commemorative photo after signing a business agreement on the 26th.

Cherry announced on the 27th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute (hereinafter referred to as HanSuJeong).

At the signing ceremony held at Cherry's office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 26th, the two organizations decided to promote cooperation on the following initiatives: operating and promoting biodiversity conservation programs based on the Cherry donation platform; operating and promoting the Cherry Photo donation projects and related programs; and enhancing biodiversity conservation and raising ESG awareness.

Last September, Cherry installed an instant photo booth called "Cherry Photo" at the National Sejong Arboretum, which is affiliated with the Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute (HanSuJeong). When arboretum visitors take photos, a certain amount is automatically donated to HanSuJeong. The collected donations are being used for the ex-situ conservation of native plants, including rare and endemic species in Korea, and for projects related to the development of carbon sink technology.

The Cherry Photo donation booth, which has received positive feedback from visitors to the National Sejong Arboretum, will be installed in 14 arboretums nationwide, including Chollipo Arboretum and Hantaek Botanical Garden, as part of this agreement. Donations collected through visitors' photo sessions will be used to support the conservation of native plants and biodiversity in each arboretum.

Lee Soo-jung, CEO of Cherry, expressed, "I am pleased to provide an opportunity for visitors to cherish memories at arboretums and actively participate in donations. Through the involvement of many visitors, I hope this initiative will raise greater awareness for the conservation of native plants in Korea."

"We will continue to cooperate with Cherry, a donation platform, to promote public participation-type ESG projects," said Ryu Kwang-soo, chairman of Han Soo-jung's board. "We will strengthen our role as an arboretum and garden platform by creating a shared growth ecosystem such as the installation of Cherry Photos in arboretums nationwide."
