Protect mothers of childhood cancer patients!
Blockchain-based charity platform CHERRY, Lotte Members, Lotte Medical Foundation, and Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer(KACLC) run ‘mom Comfort: Point Mom Care’ campaign for mothers of children with childhood cancer
Korea’s first blockchain-based charity platform ‘CHERRY’, Lotte Members, Lotte Medical Foundation, and Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer(hereinafter KACLC) are continuously carrying out a fundraising campaign for ‘mom Comfort: Point mom Care’ for mothers of children with childhood cancer. Launched in September 2020, ‘mom Comfort: Point mom Care’ is a campaign to protect the physical health and mental health of mothers with childhood cancer who find it difficult to take care of themselves.
CHERRY and Lotte Members delivered about 22 million won raised from July to December last year through a delivery ceremony on the 25th. Through this donation, for three days from the 29th to the 31st, 42 mothers of childhood cancer patients can receive special health checkups and mental healing programs at Bobath Memorial Hospital of the Lotte Medical Foundation. For the third checkup, 35 mothers received support from the first checkup at the beginning of last year and 59 mothers from the second checkup in the second half of last year.
At the non-face-to-face delivery ceremony, Lee Sujeong, CEO of E4Net, a 27-year-old IT company that develops and operates the charity platform CHERRY, said, “Above all, I am grateful that the donation campaign is ongoing. It seems that they have created a new donation model that combines walking, points, and donations. When the donation reaches 100 million won, I hope we can all come together and create a place to introduce this good donation model to Korean society.”
CHERRY, Korea's first blockchain-based charity platform that was launched in 2019 after being selected as a national project by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency, has been evaluated as Korea's most popular commercial blockchain service. The 4th fundraising is currently underway for ‘mom Comfort: Point mom Care’, and participation is possible on CHERRY Charity Platform and L Point app.
