Blockchain-based donation platform "Cherry" announced that it has set up a donation kiosk at "Morning (愛) Meet," a free meal center opened by the E-Land Welfare Foundation.
"Morning (愛) Meet," located near Exit 12 of Seoul Station, is a free meal center operated by the E-Land Welfare Foundation in collaboration with the Maga Community, which is a coalition of five churches in Incheon and the Haneul Somang Church in the Seoul Station area. The center provides breakfast without restrictions to the homeless, day laborers, and young people who skip meals. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, and lunch is provided instead on Sundays.
The donation kiosk installed in the cafeteria lobby simplifies the donation process, allowing donations to be made easily with just a card or mobile phone. Additionally, donation records can be checked through the Cherry app, enhancing the transparency and reliability of donations. The collected donations will be used to operate the cafeteria through the E-Land Welfare Foundation.
An official stated, "Through the installation of this donation kiosk, Cherry aims to help marginalized neighbors in the community and provide an opportunity for more people to participate in sharing."
