Blockchain charity platform CHERRY announced on the 18th that it recently signed a "Kiosk donation agreement" with E-Card Van Co., Ltd. and Ludens patners Co., Ltd.
This agreement aims to develop a donation kiosk solution that links blockchain-based micro-tracking functions through the CHERRY charity platform. Donation kiosks, jointly developed by three companies, are one of the donation channels of the CHERRY Charity Platform, a solution that matches kiosks with donation organizations to raise donations through exposure to various donation campaigns.
The donation kiosk is designed to induce donation motivation through interesting donation contents such as animation and game elements, and to spread the donation culture of the next generation and spread the donation culture in everyday life by providing more than just putting money in a collection box. Under the agreement, citizens can donate only by credit card payments without cash.
There are two types of kiosks: single and embedded. The single kiosk is a donation-only kiosk connected to a donation organization, and the embedded kiosk is a version that adds a donation function to the product order kiosk of individual businesses. It will be operated by linking daily purchase activities with donations and adding donation products in which some of the product purchases are donated.
The donation kiosk will be installed at Yamidang, the National Museum of Korea, run by Ludens partners, and will be installed in resorts, hotels, restaurants, and stores in the future. All donations donated through kiosks are recorded in blockchain to ensure transparency.
The CHERRY Charity Platform has six patents related to blockchain donation so far, and three patents are being applied along with the model.
Kim Joong-je, CEO of E-Card Van, who is in charge of developing the kiosk program, said, "We are happy to contribute to the spread of donation culture through this agreement.", adding "We will continue to provide services that users can use conveniently in the future through fast and convenient payment programs and the development of various contents related to donations," he said.
"If we introduce a donation menu to customers visiting the store through the CHERRY Charity Kiosk, they will like it because they can easily participate in the donation," said Sung Rae-hyun, CEO of Ludens partners. Also he said "We hope that many customers will choose the donation menu and it will be an opportunity for love to be delivered to more neighbors," he said.
Lee Sujeong, CEO of CHERRY, said, "Through this agreement, we can easily donate by ordering food at restaurants," adding, "We hope that the next generation who are not interested in donations will grow into future philanthropists through daily donations."
Meanwhile, CHERRY is Korea's first blockchain charity platform and transparently discloses the entire process of donation flow from fundraising to use through blockchain. More than 340 donation organizations, including the Community Chest of Korea, UNICEF Korea Committee, and the ChildFund Korea, are in use and exceeded 8 billion won in accumulated donations in March.
